Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz thinly sliced ribeye steak
  • 2 slices American cheese or Provolone
  • 2 hoagie rolls
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 medium tomato, sliced
  • 1/2 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • Mayonnaise
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat a griddle or large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Season the thinly sliced steak with salt and pepper.
  • Cook the onions until caramelized, then add the steak and cook until browned.
  • Lay the cheese over the steak to melt.
  • Slice the hoagie rolls lengthwise and spread mayonnaise inside.
  • Layer lettuce, tomatoes, and onions on the roll, then add the steak and melted cheese.

Notes

For a twist, try adding pickles or different cheese varieties. Serve with fries or onion rings.
